Those wonderful folks at Plano Television Network (PTN) have done it again!
An August 4th presentation from the Texas Association of Telecommunications
Officers and Advisors (TATOA) named PTN the Best in the State for Overall
Excellence in Government Programming!
“The entire PTN team was involved in producing this award-winning community
programming between April 1, 2004 and March 31, 2005,” said PTN’s Executive
Producer Kurt Ugland (pictured above.) “The talent of our team, combined
with our on-camera hosts and voice over-talents has once again made us
Number One in the state.”
In addition to the First Place nod for Overall Excellence, Producer Ana
Gonzalez won Second Place in Education/Instruction/Training for “Dog Park
Bark.”
Producer Rebecca Hollingshead brought home a Third Place award for Community
Events Coverage, “It Takes a Village.”
Producer Jason VanSickel captured First Place for Special Audiences with
“Every 15 Minutes.”
“TATOA is an organization that specializes in Municipal Programming, so it’s
great to be recognized by them,” said Mr. Ugland. “It means the kind of
programming produced by Plano Television Network is some of the best
municipal programming in Texas.”
Entering its 18th year of service to the community, seven-time Emmy
nominated PTN, Comcast channel 30, has garnered over 250 regional, state and
national accolades for programming excellence.
It has also been nominated for Overall Excellence in the National
Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors awards, with winners
to be announced in late September.
PTN can be viewed on Comcast cable channel 30, or online through real time
video streaming. Special “on demand” video segments are also available for
City Council meetings and other programming.
