August 24 District 4 City Council Neighborhood Roundtable

Posted:  August 23, 2006

The Plano City council wants to hear your ideas and concerns about your community and answer any questions you may have about City services and programs.

Thursday, August 24, 2006 the Plano City Council will host their popular “Neighborhood Roundtable” at the Haggard Library Program Room, 2501 Coit Road, from 7:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m.  This Roundtable will address residents inside the boundaries of District 4 (below).

While any resident can attend the Roundtable, dividing the city into Districts enables the Council to meet quarterly with residents throughout the entire city through the year, focusing on concerns and solutions that are geographic to that specific location, as well as any city-wide issues residents may have.

One-on-one dialogue is afforded through a Roundtable session, with the Mayor and City Council attending the meetings, supplemented by City Staff representing each municipal service.  After group discussion, sub-groups are formed to prioritize and identify issues most concerning the group.

District 4 encompasses the area bordered by Alma (East), George Bush Turnpike (S), Ohio north to Parker, East to Coit (W) and Spring Creek Parkway (N).

Residents are notified through a direct mail post card of the meeting date and time.  Persons with questions should call 972-941-7747.
