Plano Court Computer System Outage

Posted:  December 6, 2006

The Plano Municipal Court computer system has suffered severe water damage due to an accident involving a broken water pipe in the facility.  This outage will affect online citation payments and other computer-accessed materials but will not stall or hinder Court operations.

Technicians are working to restore the computer system as quickly as possible.

Court personnel will be manually processing citations until the main computer system is restored.  Online citation payment will not be available.  Citizens with citations may pay in person by bringing their citation to the Municipal Court, Ray Robinson Justice Center, 900 E. 15th Street. The facility is located approximately one mile east of Central Expressway on 15th, across from Haggard Park in Downtown Plano.

Citizens wishing to pay citations by mail will need to contact the Municipal Court at 972-941-2199 to confirm the correct payment amount.

To contest a citation, citizens may request a court date by mail or contact the Municipal Court at 972-941-2199.

Citizens with trials or pre-trials scheduled between December 13 and December 21 should contact the Municipal Court to confirm scheduling at 972-941-2199.

To find out a daily status of the computer system, call 972-941-2199 or visit the City of Plano website at www.plano.gov.  Citizens will have ten calendar days from the date the computer system is restored to make an appearance or contact the Municipal Court.
