Join us at Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve for an evening of outdoor games, nature walks, story-telling near the fire, s'mores, and family fun! There will be a tent decorating contest, pumpkin painting, and be sure to bring some candy for 'tent or treating'. Cost is $35 per tent-site. Limit 5 people per site. Meals are included! We'll have burgers and hot dogs for dinner and pancakes for breakfast. A minimum number of tents are available to rent from the Parks and Recreation Department. A National Take Back Day provides a unified opportunity for the public to surrender expired, unwanted, or unused prescription drugs to law enforcement officers for destruction.
Drop-of locations are open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at these following locations:
Clark High School, 523 W. Spring Creek Parkway
Plano East Senior High School, 3000 Los Rios Boulevard
Plano Senior High School, 2200 Independence Parkway
Plano West Senior High School, 5601 W. Parker Road
Take advantage of this opportunity to safely and legally discard unneeded pills, including pain prescriptions and other controlled substance medications, as these pills can only be accepted for disposal when law enforcement is present.
