This family friendly event exposes attendees to the various aspects of fly fishing. Both experts, and novices attend the festival and learn more about were to fly fish both locally and aboard. Don't know how to cast, or tie flies? No problem, we have you covered. Multiple name brand companies from across the country attend, and help attendees discover what products and trips are right for them. We also are pleased to have excellent microbrewery beer created in the Lone Star State available for sample and purchase. Along with fly fishing guides and fly shops, kayak experts and instructors on a wide variety of topics are also on hand to help you get out on the water more often.

The Cradle Will Rock has been called “one of the most historically significant pieces of American theater ever written,” and is the only show ever shut down by the Federal government. Composer Marc Blitzstein wrote it in a specific political and social context, but the questions it raises regarding economic power, class structure, agency, hypocrisy, and opposing forces remain as relevant today as in 1937. Rather than accusing or lecturing, this piece uses humor and 1930’s musical traditions to reveal and reflect our ongoing challenges, and is a tribute to the artists, who, in 1937, risked everything for art.
