    In nineteenth century France, Jean Valjean is released from years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a lifelong struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean’s adopted daughter.

  4. Downtown Sessions: The Carz

    The Downtown Sessions series highlights different genres of music each month. September's theme is "Throwback Jams". Bring a chair! Beverage service will be available on-site, provided by The Fillmore Pub. Opening act Reinventing Jude will kick off the concert before The Carz take the stage! The Carz is a 5 piece group formed in Dallas, TX as a tribute to the recent Rock n Roll Hall of Famers: The Cars. The band is comprised of members from local DFW outfits past and present that includes: The Vandoliers, Jesus Chris and the Beetles, The Virgin Wolves, Vinyl, Jambunctious, and Trebuchet. The music covered by the group spans a wide catalog, from their first, critically-acclaimed, self-titled album all the way through Heartbeat City. They even sprinkle in some of your other late 70s and 80s favorites. From the huge hits you can sing along with, to the B sides, and beyond, there is a good chance The Carz will play one of your favorite tunes!
