If you have received a citation that is filed in this court, then I encourage you to learn more about the options available to you. The Plano Municipal Court is a recognized leader throughout the State of Texas and we invite you to browse our site and/or visit us in the Raymond Robinson Justice Center.
The Plano Municipal Court handles Traffic, Parking, State Code, and City Ordinance citations that carry fine only penalties. We have thirty-five (35) employees, two of whom are part-time. We have three (3) full-time Judges. All Court Administration employees participate in the State Certification Program. We are committed to training competent personnel with a strong emphasis on ethics and accountability in the collection of fines, fees and state costs. In keeping with the City’s goal of “Service Excellence”, courteous and prompt customer service will continue to be our goal as we evaluate citizen needs and our ability to serve within the guidelines set by statute and the values and standards set by the City of Plano.
Effective July 1, 2012, the City of Plano Municipal Court will convert to a court of record. This conversion will affect all trial proceedings before the Municipal Court and all appeals from Judgments. Defendants must request any trial recording.
