  Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve Grand Opening

Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve is an 800-acre park extending from Parker Road on the south to Chaparral Road on the north and from Spring Creek Parkway on the west to Los Rios Boulevard on the east. The park boasts 3.5 miles of concrete trails and 5 miles of soft surface trails located along Rowlett Creek. Nature trails are open from sunrise to sunset daily.

 Independence Day Holiday Hours

July 3 - Administrative Office and Interurban Railway Museum closed

July 4 - Carpenter Park Recreation Center, Douglass Community Center, Interurban Railway Museum and Plano Senior Recreation Center closed

High Point Tennis Center and Pecan Hollow Golf Course open normal hours

All other recreation centers and pools open 1pm-6pm

 Free Summer Lunch Program Moves to Meadows Elementary
The free summer lunch program is moving to Meadows Elementary, 2800 18th St, this summer. The Plano ISD will be coordinating the program which provides lunch to anyone 18 years and younger. Meals will be served from June 9 through July 31 from 11:30am - 1pm.
