Department Accreditation
The City of Plano Police Department is proud to have been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) since 1992. In November 2012, the department received the Accreditation with Excellence Award, which designated Plano as an extraordinary example in Law Enforcement.

A Meritorious Service award, given to agencies with 15 or more continuous years as an accredited agency, was also presented to the Plano Police Department at that time.

Online Services
The Plano Police Department is pleased to offer an online citizen police reporting system that will allow you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free.
