There are many ways for teens to volunteer in the City of Plano. However, many of these positions have a waiting list of three-to-six months, so teens are encouraged to apply early. Teens aged 13 to 17 who are interested in volunteering with Plano Libraries, Recreation Centers, and Special Events can join the waiting list for 2018. Those who join the 2018 waiting list will will receive an auto-response email confirmation and updates as they become available. Please see below for other volunteer opportunities.

Fire Department - Explore a career in the Fire Department. This is for boys and girls ages 16-21 years old who may be interested in a career in the Fire Department. Plano Explorer Post 215 is now accepting applications. The Fire Department offers a wide variety of career paths for men and women.
