Volunteers in Plano (VIP) works with Plano Libraries, Recreation Centers and Special Events to coordinate a teen volunteer program. Due to a lengthy waiting list, it is recommended students apply early at age 12.
To start volunteering with the VIP Teen program, students should follow this link Opens a New Window. and click on the button at the top right of the page that says “Fill in an application." After applying, the student will receive an auto-response email confirmation and email updates with news and information until their name is selected for a permanent roster spot.
The VIP Teen program utilizes 400 active student volunteers for the below program:
• Plano Public Libraries
• Senior Center Tuesday Evening Dances
• Special Events
• Ushering for Plano Stages
• Adapted Recreation
• Summer Camps
