Sustainable Community Grants

Live Green in Plano offers a competitive grant process to alleviate the financial hurdle of implementing sustainability projects that benefit the Plano community. Grants range from $500 to $2,000. This year the City will be awarding up to $6,000 in grant funding for project.

Applications will be accepted until November 16, 2020. Selected project will receive their grant funding in late January 2021. Funded projects will need to be completed by August 16, 2021.

Improve the health of the environment

Increase equity in the community 

Enhance quality of life 

Increase cultural vibrancy 

Expand ecological resilience

Conserve natural resources 

Beautify the community 

Educate about protecting the natural environment 

Expand economic opportunities

Increase workforce participation

Make Plano better for future generations

Timeline of Grants 

    Applications due: Monday, November 16th (11:59 p.m.) 

    Winners selected: Mid–December 2020

    Funding delivered: Late January 

    Progress report #1: Monday March 15th 

    Progress report #2: Monday, June 14th 

    Projects completed, final reports due: Monday, August 16th
