Library Closure Update – July 8, 2020

Plano Public Library

The service expansion for July 6, 2020 has been postponed. Patrons may return items to the library, pickup holds and make computer appointments.

Book drops are open and returned items are quarantined for 72 hours. Items will still show on your account during the quarantine and holds fulfillment will also be delayed. Having the item(s) remain on your account will not impact your ability to check out additional items. Starting July 6th all items will check out for three weeks.

New library card processing takes 2-3 days from the time you apply online, and you will be contacted regarding your application.

Holds pick up and specialty item returns are available porch side (see process and times here). Currently, access to digital resources is provided even if your account has overdue items. See FAQs for more library information.

Computer access is now available by appointment. A library card is required and appointments are scheduled in advance for two (2) hour sessions. See process and schedule here.

Check the calendar for a list of virtual programs.

You can access our digital services including eBooks, eAudiobooks, magazines, newspapers, streaming video and online resources from home. For assistance using any of these services, please call your library Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Sunday 1 - 4:30 p.m. You may also email us your library question.

You may support the library with a financial donation here.
