Plano Senior Recreation Center Closes March 1 for Renovations
Attempts to keep the Plano Senior Recreation Center open during the expansion have met with unexpected challenges. Due to safety concerns, the facility will close March 1, 2018 until the project is complete. For up-to-date information on the relocation of classes and daily drop-in activities, please contact the Plano Senior Recreation Center at 972-941-7155. Trips will continue but will now depart from the Oak Point Park Nature & Retreat Center. The Health & Wellness Fair will now be held on Monday, May 21 at the Plano Event Center. The Wellness Center for Older Adults will also relocate its operations during this time. We will update with relocation information as it becomes available.

The Plano Senior Recreation Center offers a multitude of amenities, classes, trips and events for adults 50 and older. Any individual age 50 and older can come and enjoy the following amenities:

•  Fitness, Continuing Education, Fine Arts, Performing Arts Classes
•  Trips and Events 
•  Cardio and weight room with AMTs, treadmills, recumbent bikes, multi-station maximus   machine and free weights
•  Café serving lunch Monday through Friday, 11am to 12:30pm 
•  Billiards room with two standard size pool tables
•  Art Room
•  Meeting Rooms available for rental
•  Ballroom offering Tuesday night dances 
•  Drop in Bingo, Bridge and Dominoes

Plano Senior Center Renovations

Additions and renovations to the Plano Senior Recreation Center include:
New fitness/weight room
New fitness class space
Additional dining space and an expanded kitchen
Additional classroom space for seminars, etc.
New and updated restrooms
Additional parking
Expanded Wellness Center
