Honor a Hero: You’re invited to share the story and a photo of a veteran or first responder, living or deceased. Each of the flags will have a card attached telling one of these stories, in a tribute to veterans and first responders. Be Moved: Spend an hour or two at Oak Point Park during this 7-day event. In addition to a full schedule of events, from a SWAT tank to guest speakers, you will be moved as you wander the field of flags and read some of the 1,000 stories of the brave women and men who sacrifice for our freedom and safety.     Head to Oak Point Park November 9-16 to experience the Plano Flags of Honor. You'll discover a field of more than 1,000 3' x 5' American Flags, expressing our region's gratitude to our veterans and first responders. Each flag tells the story of heroes whose lives were devoted in service to others, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. You will hear the haunting sound of TAPS at dusk each day and experience the reverence of walking the field at night when the flags seem to reach out and tell their own stories.
