A storytime for families featuring stories, songs and movement activities
inspired by a weekly theme. Family Storytime combines elements of Toddler Time and Preschool Storytime to promote language and listening skills, enhance motor skills, expand imaginations and inspire a child’s curiosity
about the world. Typically 25-30 minutes. Ages 0-5.

Registration for Fall 2019 classes begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, August 3 for Plano residents and at 5 a.m. on Monday, August 5 for everyone else. Swim, hike, dance, do tai chi and yoga, brush up on computer skills, paint, sew, camp under the stars, kayak, learn to paint and more!

Join us at Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve for an evening of outdoor games, nature walks, story-telling near the fire, s’mores, and family fun! There will be a tent decorating contest, pumpkin painting, and be sure to bring some candy for ‘tent or treating’. Price is per person. Children under 2 are free. The Dallas 5K is a fun run/walk event on October 12th for the entire family! This event will raise funds to support new research investigations. It also helps to develop a global patient registry of people diagnosed with Celiac disease who want to participate in research studies, including clinical trials.

Tour the world and improve your wellness at the Plano International Festival. The area’s largest cultural event offers food, fun and entertainment for the whole family. Enjoy multicultural music and dance performances, ethnic food trucks, cultural displays and more, all from over 100 cultures. Hands-on children’s activities, flag parade, and the area’s only outdoor naturalization ceremony round out the fun. Come early for the popular Fitness and Wellness Fair with free flu shots and health screenings for kids and adults, plus interactive fitness demos.
Admission and parking are free.

Take a peek into Plano's paranormal past with this walking tour through the city's haunted history. Our ghoulish guides will lead you into homes and businesses full of true tales of the macabre. This year with additional locations!
There will be two tours per night on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12. Tours begin at 6pm and 8:30 pm and last approximately 2.5 hours.
Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather; the tour involves about 2.5 hours of walking and much of it is outdoors. There are stairs involved.
