Head to Oak Point Park November 9-16 to experience the Plano Flags of Honor.
You'll discover a field of more than 1,000 3' x 5' American Flags, expressing our region's gratitude to our veterans and first responders. Each flag tells the story of heroes whose lives were devoted in service to others, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. You will hear the haunting sound of TAPS at dusk each day and experience the reverence of walking the field at night when the flags seem to reach out and tell their own stories.
Do you know a veteran or first responder you want honored at this event? Submit a Story and Picture to Honor a Veteran or First Responder: https://www.planoflagsofhonor.org/honor_a_veteran_or_first_responder
This event is funded in part by the City of Plano.

Presented by Plano Children's Theater. The Tony Award-winning Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical revels in the anarchy of childhood, the power of imagination and the inspiring story of a girl who dreams of a better life. Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers. She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!
