Chisholm Trail is a hike and bike trail that follows a scenic creek through central Plano. It starts at Harrington Park and travels north and west to Legacy Drive. This trail intersects with the Bluebonnet Trail in Jack Carter Park.

Work began in late 2018 to address erosion control on the Chisholm Trail just north of Spring Creek. During this time, trail users are asked to follow detour signs around the trail (see attached construction area map). The detour will take trail users on a 5 ft. sidewalk with a new ramp and end on an ADA asphalt (temporary access) trail. Construction is scheduled to be complete in spring 2019, weather permitting.

There may be construction activities that require the contractor to drive equipment in the creek, which stirs up sediment and fine silt particles that discharge downstream. We will monitor the creek downstream of the project to ensure that there are no environmental impacts to aquatic life due to the discharge of sediment and silt particles.
